And There Were Two

And There Were Two

Believe me Valentine’s Day may be over but loving is still alive and well! Have you ever been around two people that you just knew their relationship was special? They are tender to each other, yet they do not always take life so seriously. They complete each other’s sentences or one will ask the other one to finish a story for them. They have learned to grow together as they have learned to grow as individuals. Their encouragement to each other has caused each to move toward their own purposes. They are always there for each other although each does not have to be seen together all the time. One moment they bicker at each other and immediately turn around and lift each other the next. They know about agreeing to disagree! You just know that God was invited into their commitment early. And they have accepted their responsibility to God through that commitment. You know—it is never too late to re-invest in a commitment you have made. God is always open to blessing true intentions. So find that love of your life and love them like you never have before! Most of all protect that commitment above all else for God.

And There Were Two

God pulled these two souls from the stars,

And placed them with their families.

Their hearts, bodies, and souls grew from love, experience, and time.

One night they became friends.

God touched their hearts to yearn for each other.

Friendship led to spiritual love for who each other was and would become.

They smiled, laughed, cried, soothed, and healed each other through the hours.

Soon to know they were stars that had never really been apart—

Only separated a short time to give their families of themselves.

The two lights then joined,

Facing God and forming the future.

Providing a life lived for others and for God.

So now the light of the two stars shine upon so many to illuminate a spiritual love toward everyone.

Whitsy Brown

Whitsy Brown

Of course we are near Valentines Weekend, and you know love is always in the air! I just had to reflect this week upon the most amazing type of love above all. God set the example of unconditional love, and He continues today giving us these types of examples in our everyday lives. A very special girl named Belle taught me a great lesson of unconditional love. She was our family’s brown, deer-head Chihuahua. Actually she was our daughter’s until it was time for our daughter to explore the world and pursue her own purpose in life. Belle really bonded with my husband and I, and we really depended on her. She just gave to us everything she had without ever requiring us to do anything in return. This baby gave us her love up until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us and continue loving us although she was in pain and suffering. The day God brought her into our lives was the day where He saw the long term purpose for Belle. How He would show us His love through her, unconditionally. If you have been blessed with a special pet do not waste another moment without telling them how you unconditionally love them. “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” is one of God’s most amazing commandments, and He sent these wonderful creatures to teach us just that.

 Whitsy Brown

(Better known as Belle)

I yearn for you little one.

For your kisses.

For your hugs.

I yearn for your soft fur against my face.

You never required anything of me.

I relied on you for love and peace.

You ask nothing in return.

You just gave without needing anything.

You always listened to me.

Even when I would rant in anger, cry in pain, or laugh with joy.

When I was sick you laid beside me.

Hoping your breath would heal me.

When I needed to heal outside with the sun on my face.

You laid out with your belly warming from the brightness.

You followed wherever I went.

Just to be close.

Your happiness in the morning with your wagging tail

Gave me hope for the coming day.

And joy to get out of bed.

Your excitement made me realize God had something special for us.

When I came home every day your welcome always told me you are now safe.

You talked back with your eyes when there was no one to hear me or speak to me.

I have to say goodbye.

Although I don’t want to.

But you have served you master well.

I know it is now your time to find peace and rest.

Now the universe will know who you are and how you help to heal.

So I let go my friend.

Your unconditional love will live on forever.

God created you for such a magnificent purpose.

In order that your light will shine on so many more.

So go my friend and spread your love to others.

 Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Letting go is very difficult, especially when we have received unconditional love. Make sure this week someone will have trouble letting go of you because of such love. I thank you as always this week for your presence and love toward me. I know God will send love to you this week! Just don’t forget to love back!

Love,

Rennae

Lost Love

Lost Love

Have you ever been so alone that you felt no human anywhere even knew you were alive much less knew you needed to be loved or wanted to give love? I know we all, no matter the age, have been at this place during sometime in our lives. One of the greatest desires is to give and receive love. The word love is such an amazing word. It means so much more than the simple letters represented. So many of us have forgotten how to actually use the word. This is why we find ourselves in such places. I swore many moons ago that I would always tell my loved ones how much I loved them as we departed, because we never knew if the next time we saw them would be here on Earth or in heaven. So when my family came along we all adopted the phrase “I love you.” as we left each other. No matter where or when we are leaving each other we say this. For us this simple word means be safe, I am with you, be careful, you matter to me, and you are everything. There is a lot of power behind that simple word. So what does this have to do with us getting to this very low place of not feeling loved? We absolutely must not let ourselves get to this place, and if we do we must act immediately. Move yourself to reach out. Don’t be alone. Show someone else love. It can be from a small gesture to a huge gesture. The size does not matter as long as you give it away. When you give it away it will return many times back to fill your void. Talk to people, smile at people, gesture kindly to others, and give. You are not just giving to this person, you are giving love to yourself.

Lost Love

My joy seeps from beneath my skin leaving my body.

My existence is irrelevant to any soul.

Only to be a doer and provider.

At the times I so needed to provide love.

I was denied that opportunity.

I yearn for that love that was lost.

It is also about receiving love.

I yearn for the days when love was simple.

A small cry would bring closeness.

A hurt feeling could be soothed by a loving soul.

Now it is always too quick.

We must go.

There is no time.

Is this where we are?

In a world where love has lost its meaning.

My heart yearns for our return to love.

Time to love.

Making time for love.

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Start loving someone this week. Just to love them. Not to expect anything back. Don’t let yourself fall into the sadness of losing love. It is time that we approach others with love instead of fear. You need to know I love you and yours!

Love,

Rennae

Wealth

Wealth

We look at ourselves and compare our wealth to the wealth of other people. We see that they have more cars, homes, clothes, or whatever the material things are, and we forget that this is not wealth. I do just like everyone does. We get caught up in the comparisons of this world. We forget that being rich includes so much more than these things. It is only when we lose one of these precious relationship that we understand what it means to be poor. Our life has such a void. A void that hurts deeply. A void that cannot be filled. It is only then that we think very carefully of how rich we really have become. If a car or a piece of clothing is lost, this void does not exist. Think of the ways someone’s richness of character covers you and enriches your life. If that richness and enrichment is not with you, your heart hurts. Stop looking at the things your neighbor has and appreciate the souls that bring you wealth! You are probably the top earner in Forbes!

Wealth

My life is rich.

My soul fills deep with joy.

Every day I realize the relationships I have are that joy.

God you give so much to me.

So much that I know what presence really means.

Most of us never relish that richness of life.

We forget that it can be as rich as dark chocolate.

Or as rich as smooth cream.

Richness is not monies or possessions or power.

Richness is that voice, that smile, or that silence that permeates the soul.

Richness is that kiss, is a touch, or is the breath you are blessed to experience.

The breath you want to hold on to and never lose.

The breath that takes you unconsciously into that moment.

Oh! Yes! I am rich!

I am rich because I choose the moment to be still and know.

 Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Don’t measure your wealth to someone else this week. Count the riches you have in others. I am rich in this life because I have you to join me. Thank you for being a part of the wealth in my life! It is very simple—relationships are so much more important than things!

Love,

Rennae

Equal Times

Equal Times

Equality is a word that can be controversial, a word that can be freeing, or a word that indicates bondage. When we come into this world we all enter the same way, through a birth of some type. When we leave, our bodies all decompose in the same way. So how are some of us viewed as above or below one another? Unfortunately a society, a group of people, sets into place many variables that define individuals. These definitions are very seldom written in words or pictures, but the definitions are present and all people within the society know they are present. Equality does not mean that we have a privilege over someone else. We have our own special code that writes us totally different than anyone else and that type of difference should be celebrated.

Why can I not accept that other person as a special human being with very special ideals? Why can I not accept a different look or a different personality from myself? Because mankind’s arrogance causes us to draw the imaginary lines. We all come wanting to know our purpose and our reason in this world. Our purpose is not to make up these lines to make ourselves feel better. Our purpose should be to erase all lines so each person can reach their birth purpose. It does not matter whether I clean restrooms, cook meals, set up strategy meetings, run a government department, fight fires, develop new software, or do any job that I am born to do. What matters is my attitude about my work and the pride I take in that task, and the attitude I take with those in other areas of work. That is where society has it wrong. I believe it all really comes down to the respect that is given to each other that matters. Equality means respect. Respect says, “You are equal to me, and I respect your contribution to this world.”. Respect says, “I love you for your part in this world.”. In the end the CEO dies the same way a teacher dies. Death is death in this plane, but showing love can be the part of the living that matters.

Equal Times

For one moment in time we were all equal.

No one had more money.

No one had a higher status.

We were all again the same-equal.

We come with only our souls,

And we leave with only our souls.

We gather all these memories.

All these visions.

All these feelings.

A moment for each experience.

The moment works it way into the grooves of our brain.

We think we can be equal.

We can go there.

Where everyone has the chance to rise.

Rise to send forth who we are.

Rise to send forth what we can become.

Rise to where we think we are above an imaginary line.

Equality-The Same-Similar-Parallel.

Is it ever attainable?

If it is not,

Who or what does not allow this same to happen?

Is it pride?

Is it power?

Is it selfishness?

Will this plane ever allow it to happen?

For two moments in time,

We are all equal.

When we break from our Mother’s womb,

And when we decompose into dirt and waste.

We come with nothing.

We go with nothing.

Equality is giving life.

Equality is taking death.

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Thank you for reading with me this week. Take time this week to erase the imaginary lines between you and others. Show them how their difference makes this plane a better place. As Dr. King indicated, I hope we celebrate all of our births, celebrate how we carry out our purpose, and celebrate our deaths in this society, as we are claiming this Earth as our home. I pray that millions of years from now if our society is found, pictures will show hearts lined up “equally” with many different figures of many different types of people.

Love,

Rennae

Broken Skies

Broken Skies

There is such power in light. Light is an amazing energy that can be reflected, can be passed easily, and can travel billions of miles. We find it much less complicated to dash into the dark and to be swallowed up by our misery rather than accept the light and be uplifted by joy and peace. We chose to not take the time to stop and just look for those magnificent views that can soothe our woes and worries. Our uplifting experiences can help others so much. We can bring others hope and love by sharing those experiences. It is our job to break the sky of darkness wide open. It is our job to move that energy through the universe with positive and meaningful happenings in the environment where we are. So sparkle, shine, twinkle, and glow this week into the lives of others!

Broken Skies

The millions of glass sparkles

Lay across the grass.

Rising to meet the sky

Where they sparkle way up high.

Each glen catches your eye

And makes you look for the next.

They shoot through the air

Bouncing off anything that will allow them to reflect.

Twinkle, twinkle little jewels!

Reaching across the million of miles.

You don’t want to miss it!

You have to stand really still

And look with a clean, sharp eye.

Glistening glass will dance right before you!

Knowing that each has traveled so far just to give you joy-

Excites the soul!

Knowing that the one glimmer can then reflect from your eye to give someone else all the joy!

One small broken piece travels so far and so fast.

Simple energy,

Positive energy,

Glowing energy.

Moved through the universe!

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

May you receive the view of a broken sky this week. I hope the light falls upon your soul and lights your life. You have already done so for me this week by joining me in this reading. Light up the world and beyond! My hope and love to you!

Words of Life

Words of Life

Many times my mind is so busy with words and thoughts. It bounces from one word or thought to another with all the rush and hustle of everyday life. Thoughts of what to do next, where to be, who to care for, what needs to be done, and oh yea, plan my purpose! Of course that one always seems to be last. Don’t let this happen to you. Grab those purpose words swirling around and hold on tight. Speak them, write them, draw them, and let them guide you hearing God’s purpose for your life. All of this mind and soul activity is your own specific purpose trying to get out! Use these word of life to unleash your creative purpose. Watch God lift your words to life!

Words of Life

The mind is so very busy.

Or does the brain cause this busyness?

Most of the time words are just constantly floating, spinning, and whirling.

I am confident that my soul will recapture that mind—

Or brain—or words to bring forth my Creators purpose.

Even when I do not understand the words—

The Creator does.

The Creator helps me to create my purpose.

This purpose is unique.

A purpose that carries this mind to reach where the physical cannot go.

A passion that moves the mind from chaos to creativity.

Oh! Creator let my soul always be open so that—

These phrases can take me to levels never conceived!

The mind is my purpose and my passion.

But only with the soul as its guide.

And the soul has the Creator as its mentor.

Mind-or Brain-or Soul please always float, spin, and whirl my words.

For the Creator sets those words to life.

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Whether it be music, words, laughter, painting, acting, cooking or any creative thoughts, let them be your words of life. And most importantly, share those words with others! Thank you for starting your year off reading with me. I know your year is going to bring many blessings and experiences that will be lifetime moments. Bless you and yours!

Love,

Rennae

Follow the Star

Follow the Star

I am never more amazed than when we are spoken to through God’s natural creations. God’s imagination, discoveries, and creations very much encourage us to use our own imaginations, seek new discoveries, and create! We are so blessed to have imagined space flight, discovered dinosaurs from the past, and to have created technology. God’s plan for our living in this time and space. It is no wonder that years ago explorers, the wise men, astronomy, the star of the east, and a virgin birth, cytology at its best, led people on this Earth to believe in a purpose of love and peace. What people believed in years ago can give us hope of our futures and God’s great blessings to come! May all our imaginations, discoveries, and creations continue to strive for God’s special purpose. Allow God to carry out His purpose through you, and use all you have for this love! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Creative Living! May God bless you, and may you be able to pause and see those blessings!

Follow the Star

The star glided across the glow of the moon.

It landed in the pitch dark sky.

Growing in heat and warmth.

The small star was no longer small.

Its tiny flame spread across the black sky like a fireball moves through the wind.

It settled its gaze upon a blue planet with shades of green.

God told it to shine as much as it could.

He told the star to spread its glory across the planet letting its light provide hope for the world there.

The star heated and heated until its rays spread over the planet.

The inhabitants watched the star and followed it to the great place were God came to them.

After the star carried out its purpose, God allowed it to set itself in the East.

It was the purest white of whites.

The choice that star made that day set it into the history of the planet and in the culture of the inhabitants.

It was used to honor God.

The little star represented the hope of the unknown.

The star gave all its warmth and glow to supply the inhabitants with the light for tomorrow.

Look up and follow the star.

The star leads to the one and only light of love.

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Begin this new year with your mind open and your heart giving. Peace can only be gained by following God’s star. Follow with your life! Love to you.

Love,

Rennae

Preparation

Preparation

Prepare yourself this week. Have your heart bursting with joy, have your mind praying, let your voice bring comfort to others, make your hands provide help, see that your eyes glean the sparkle to others, and stop to share all that you can about this amazing season! Reflect and remember through all the hustle and bustle that this season is for one main purpose—to love. Love in all the ways you know how. Dig deep and prepare your heart and soul to share one of the greatest gifts of all—love. So don’t just prepare your home this week for Christmas, but prepare your heart so that you can give all year long!

 Preparation

The scent of the cedar tells me the season is upon us.

The light, blue-green fruits and feathered branches provide a wonderful backdrop.

The nativity scene has been carefully unpacked once more.

It occupies the special place in the house where all can honor its purpose.

The song from the music box helps the skaters glide around the base.

The advent log rest comfortably waiting to glow as the time draws closer to the great day!

Bells jingle all around.

Songs and verses that are familiar to all can be heard.

Lights twinkle,

As ornaments strut their glory about the tree.

The magnificent star with its gold and stones represent the great birth.

The smells of ham and cookies make our tummies yearn for their taste.

The musical carousel stands tall atop the special crafted tree skirt ready to entertain.

The adorned angel holds the ornament reading Merry Christmas Ya’ll.

The paper Coco Cola Santa sits on the cabinet holding his finger to his nose sparking excitement of the little ones looking up from below.

All these represent preparation for the great season of love and giving.

Then we see their arrival.

One by one.

Smile after smile.

Hugs after hugs.

This is truly the season.

When those we share love with sit among all the other earthly things!

And we celebrate the best gift of all-

The born and risen King!

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

I cannot thank you enough this week for loving me by being here to read. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. May this holiday bring you and those you love peace, joy, and love. God please bless each one! Merry Christmas!

Peace

Peace

Such a small word with such a big meaning. Quietness, tranquil, calm, and restful are just a few words that describe this amazing word. More than just the physical word itself, this word is so gigantic in reality. For unknown reasons some people just cannot bring themselves to practice this word. They seek chaos, argument, tension, and busyness to their lives. When we seek this word and its true meaning, our own lives become so rich and joyful. We take ourselves into the reality of clarity rather than confusion. Hundreds of years ago a text that is very important to me was written with the exclamation “Peace on Earth, and good will toward men!”. Quit ironic the word peace was used indicating for the Earth to be quiet, tranquil, and calm. Let’s practice this word during the week and see how restful our lives and the lives of others can be!

Peace

 The feelings are very anxious.

The fears become greater.

The focus becomes dim.

The foundation is shaky.

Then within seconds or moments all become so little.

Joyful feelings take over the anxiety.

Hope consumes the fears that were once there.

The mirror becomes bright and the focus sharpens.

And under our feet the ground becomes solid once again.

The light becomes bright.

The glory surrounds us!

Comfort spreads from bone to bone.

God is with us.

God is in us.

God is the joy.

It is not me or I or us.

God is the peace.

I am the peace.

We are the peace because God is us.

Peace in this reality can be true!

Lori Rennae Hickman Chapman

Peace be to you and your family as the holidays arrive. I just thank you so much for blessing me with your presence this week. What peace you bring to me!

Love,

Rennae
